The county is now closing the range for further investigation.
The unsupervised shooting range has been open since 2003, the nearby homes have been there much longer. The range is open 365 days a year from sunup to sundown. Officials say this is the first time the range has been closed for the stray bullet issue, but there have been a growing number of reports about it recently. As well as reports of reckless behavior like people using propane tanks as targets.
