Comedian Russell Brand called for 50,000 protestors to stage a peaceful revolution to remove the British government from power. The remarks were made in London's Parliament Square, next to the legislative houses. He told the assembled crowd that government no longer carries out the will of the people. Brand said legislators " not represent us, they represent their friends in big business. It's time for us to take back our power." More than 50,000 people were in attendance at the event where Brand made his remarks. The crowd assembled to protest funding cuts for social programs.
