The Electronic Frontier Foundation has published an updated version of its cell phone guide to protesters. The guide details strategies an individual should consider during protests to protect their information from law enforcement. Other topics include tips for protecting your phone, your passwords, as well as how to encrypt communications and successfully document protests. The EFF states that since the first release of the report in 2011, the public has learned about the massive requests for cell phone information from law enforcement agencies, as well as the use of surveillance technologies by the U.S. government.
