Thanks to the constant bombings and airstrikes of the US military, Kurdish and Iraqi soldiers are FINALLY starting to push back and gain ground against the Islamic State. During a one-day hiatus from his family vacation, President Obama met the media from the White House lawn and said, the United States is not close to pulling the military out of Iraq.
Obama still tells the American people that his policies on the war in Iraq haven?t changed. But Congressmen and women say that?s just not true. This is CLEARLY one of his biggest flip-flops, after his 2008 campaign was largely based on pulling out of Iraq.
But you can see in the President?s eyes, a weariness. He?s in his final term. He?s done his time. He lacks the same energy he had in his first campaign. And now, he?s apparently done bickering with military commanders. Arizona Republican John McCain criticized Obama over the last several years, calling his leadership weak and ineffective.
