Obama's Ferguson Missouri speech in review

The violence in Ferguson rages now even fiercer and hotter now than it was over a week ago. Police hoped the riots might subside on the first night of the scheduled school year, but that was not the case. Two more people were shot and 31 people were arrested on Monday night. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon called on the National Guard to reinforce the police presence on the streets. Police fully equipped with riot shields, gas masks, assault rifles and other military gear continue to march the streets and fire tear gas into crowds of protesters. When President Obama spoke a SECOND time on the Missouri violence, he said there is NO excuse for police to interfere with peaceful protesters. That all sounds good. The First Amendment grants Americans the right to peacefully assemble and it sounds like Obama supports that, especially when he gets to read a pre-written statement.
