Desilu Productions has received a firm order from NBC-TV for "Star Trek," hour-long sci-fi series. Exec producer Gene Roddenberry will put it into production late in May.

William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, George Takei and James Doohan are series' regulars, and others will be added. Show is slotted at 8:30 p.m. Thursdays next season.
