Last year the Arizona Regional Conference brought in over 120 pro-liberty students and we look forward to seeing more at the 2015 conference! This year, we will be hosting more Regional Conferences than ever before with 24 North American conferences from coast to coast. These all-day Saturday events are organized by students, for students. Registration is free and includes two free meals and drinks at our evening socials. In addition to bringing home free books and t-shirts, students will gain a deeper understanding of the ideas of liberty, opportunities for professional advancement, and a network of like-minded people to support them in their future endeavors. Regional Conferences remind us that we aren't alone and give us a rare opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate freedom.

Whether you've never heard of libertarianism or are a senior student leader for liberty, our fall regional conferences have something for you. For those new to the principles of classical liberalism, regional conferences are a great way to start exploring classical liberal thought. More advanced participants will have the opportunity to find summer internships and hone their activism skills. All student attendees are guaranteed to walk away from these events energized and inspired to get to work on their college campuses promoting the ideas of freedom.

Keynote Speaker – Daniel Garza

Daniel Garza began his in public service career as congressional staff assistant for U.S. congressman Richard "Doc" Hastings and was later elected as councilman for the city of Toppenish, Washington in 1996. In 2001, he was tapped by the George W. Bush Administration to serve as Deputy Director of External and Intergovernmental Affairs in the Office of the Secretary at The Department of Interior, and was appointed in 2004 to Associate Director of the Office of Public Liaison in the White House. In 2006 Garza became President of Televisa's HISPANIC PODER Group overseeing editorial, commercial and promotion of publications and shortly thereafter joined Univision to host and co-produce "Agenda Washington," a weekly Spanish-language news talk show covering the issues impacting the U.S. Hispanic community. Born in the Central Valley of California, Garza migrated with his family annually from their ancestral hometown of Garza Gonzalez in Nuevo Leon, Mexico- throughout California, Nebraska and Washington State following the crop season as farm workers. His first-hand knowledge of the plight of the immigrant community has earned him a reputation for advocating on behalf of Hispanics for sound public policy recognizing that the current status of our economy requires that this vital community play an essential role in bringing about solutions. Garza currently serves as Executive Director of The LIBRE Initiative and resides in Mission, TX with his wife and three children.

Adedeji Sunday Akintayo

Adedeji Sunday Akintayo serves as African operations manager of the Freedom and Entrepreneurship Foundation, a think tank based in Poland. An entrepreneur with great understanding of the African market and intercontinental trade, Akintayo worked with the founder of the Language of Liberty institute to organize the first international libertarian entrepreneurship camp in Nigeria in 2011. He will be talking on "Trade not Grant to African Governments".

Elizabeth Nolan Brown

Elizabeth Nolan Brown is a staff editor for Reason.com, where she covers news, ideas, and trends related to sex policy, criminal justice, reproductive rights, food freedom, feminism, and free speech. Her writing has also appeared places such as Politico, Playboy, Time, Newsweek, Fox News, The Dish, Libertarianism.org, and The Week. Before coming to Reason, Brown was a writer, editor, and web producer for AARP publications; a blogger with Bustle.com and Defy Media; and a reporter for the Columbus, Ohio, Daily Reporter. She has an M.A. in strategic communication from American University, a B.F.A in theater from Ohio University, and a certificate in nutrition from Cornell. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.

Tyler Coward

Tyler is a 2010 graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington with dual degrees in political science and history. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and a director on IU's largest student programming board, helping plan events such as Culture Fest and Homecoming activities. After spending time working as a program facilitator at Camp Miniwanca in Michigan, he enrolled at Michigan State University College of Law and graduated in May 2015. At MSU Law, he participated in the school's First Amendment Clinic and was president of MSU Law's chapter of the Federalist Society.
