The study begins, "Contrary to the popular conception that conspiracy theorists are a small group of tinfoil hat–wearing men who spend most of their time in bunkers, conspiracy theories (CTs) are not solely the domain of extremists and paranoids."

Ultimately the study shows that conspiracy theorists (especially ones with a conservative leaning) are better informed than the average person.

I was too cheap to pay the $6 bucks to read the full study(link is external), but did read a summary from the Huff Post(link is external).

I loved The Takeaway(link is external) from Huff Post which basically said -
Conservative conspiracy theorists are likely to be well-informed about politics - having said that -- climate change is real, Bush didn't do 9/11 and you should still vaccinate your kids.
