GETTING USED TO THE DARK

Deuteronomy 28:29, Is. 5:20, Jer. 13:16

A song sung by a well-known gospel group called The McKameys in 1987, almost thirty years ago was titled "Getting Used To The Dark".  It fit our society and nation then, and how much truer it has become thirty years later.  The great majority of Americans today are adapting well to the increased darkness that has overcame our nation over the last three decades.  That can be expected for the "heathen", but it should not be so for those who call themselves God's redeemed people.  The true tragedy is that not only have those that call themselves "the called out ones", the church, gotten used to the dark,  to get along with their families, friends, government officials and society in general, they have again "compromised" with darkness (sin) to the destruction of their souls and the souls of their children.  Hosea 4:6-7

There can be no doubt that with each passing year, the sin (darkness) of the people spreads across our land with increased speed and intensity.  Jer. 7:26, 9:16 & 16:12.  As Christ compared sin (darkness) to leaven or a canker (cancer), that starts with one "little" sin, and compromise with that little bit of darkness, it soon spreads and consumes the whole, once healthy, body of society.

Yet the people as a whole, in this society cannot or will not see this or comprehend this darkness.  Psalms 82:5, Proverbs 2:13.  Even as this "disease" consumes them and their posterity, they can't see or refuse to see, understand, or repent and come back to the light.  John 1:4-5.

Have you ever pondered why darkness (sin) is on the increase on every hand?  Have you ever wondered why our children are living in outright rebellion against the light (Christ and His commandments)?  Well, here comes your answer straight and hard!  It's because those who call themselves the Children of Light are mostly liars and do not truly know or recognize the Light and His authority in their lives!  I know, I know, they say they believe, but by their fruits you can know them!  Matt. 7:15-21.   And yes, I can judge as just instructed in these verses, knowing that I will be judged by the same standards Matt. 7:1-2 As Christ The Light, we are to be the light of the World, and the preserving factor to expose and scatter the darkness, but if we lose that quality, we will be cast out by God Himself, from the Kingdom, and be trodden under the feet of men!  Matt. 8:12, Luke 3:9, John 15:6.

As with the prodigal son, let us come to our senses and return back to our Father's house and be restored to our heirship in Christ!  Luke 15:17-18.  He will hear us and bind up our wounds!  Hos. 6:1.  He will not hear our prayers for America!  America has sinned beyond redemption. II King 24:4  (See my article of the same title on newswithviews.com or call us at CTDM and ask for a copy).  But it is not too late for you and I! He cannot hear our prayers, heal and save us unless we repent and return unto He who is The

Light!  Is. 59:1-2  We have to come to the point of time in America that only the righteous will be delivered!  Ezek. 14:14 & 16.  If your heart is not vexed (greatly troubled) by the darkness (sin) in our land, then you are none of His!  Ezek. 9:4, II Peter 2:8.

We are to be the children of Light by and through Christ and in keeping His commandments!  If you love Him, you will obey Him!  John 14:15 .  If we refuse for any reason, we are liars and the truth (Christ) is not in us!  Is. 8:20, I John 1:5-6.  As we are told many times in His Word, especially in the book of Isaiah, "His hand is stretched out still" to redeem the repentant!

Enough said.  Let us repent and grow not weary in well doing.  Gal. 6:9, II Thes. 3:13.  No matter what it cost, and it will cost, we must stay the course.  Persecution is inevitable!  II Tim. 3:12  For those who walk righteously and will not compromise with darkness (sin)!  Let us expose the darkness (sin) that is all around us, and rebuke the evil (darkness), no matter the cost!  Eph. 5:6-11, I Tim. 5:20  There is very little condemnation and conviction for sin (darkness) now because the "church" is walking in compromise with the darkness!  Most don't even realize it!  How sad!  Take heart!  Read Rom. 8:18 & 28.

God speed!
