Conservatives' #BoycottStarbucks Response To Starbucks Hiring 10,000 Refugees Backfires

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced on Sunday that the company would be hiring 10,000 refugees at their locations worldwide and conservatives everywhere were displeased with the decision. The statement was in response to President Donald Trump's executive order that bans immigrants from 7 countries, which was enacted on Friday. In the statement from Schultz, he explains that the decision by Trump has given him a "heavy heart" and added,

"We have all been witness to the confusion, surprise and opposition to the Executive Order that President Trump issued on Friday, effectively banning people from several predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States, including refugees fleeing wars."

Schultz announced his official endorsement for Hillary Clinton in September of 2016 and said after the election that he was shocked with the outcome, but reiterated later that,

"As Americans, whether we voted for Donald Trump or not, he is going to be the president of the United States and I think we have a moral obligation to do everything we can to ensure the fact that he and his team are successful. America needs a successful president and so does the world."

That being said, Schultz disagrees with some of Trump's recent decisions and has infused his moral and political beliefs into the very fabric of Starbucks, resulting in the announcement of their intention to hire 10,000 refugees over the next 5 years in the 75 countries where they have stores.
