Bank CEO wanted Paul Manafort's help to become Trump's treasury secretary...

A Federal Bank executive told a court today how Paul Manafort's pitch for $16million in loans was approved in a single day as the bank's CEO angled for a top job in the Trump administration.

The evidence came after hours of mystery delays to the high-profile trial with Judge T.S. Ellis III locked in secret discussions for much of the morning with prosecutors from Robert Mueller's special counsel probe and Manafort's defense.

Dennis Raico said Steve Calk, chairman and CEO of the Federal Savings Bank in Chicago, used him as a go-between to tap up Manafort for the posts of Treasury Secretary or Housing and Urban Development.
