The $200 smart swimming goggles --

• by Tim Collins

Smart goggles were created by former competitive swimmer Dan Eisenhardt

A smart display is built directly into the lens of the goggles and  lasts 16 hours

This delivers information without obstructing your vision while you swim

That includes distance swam, stroke rate, calories burned and lap times

Smart swimming goggles that display Olympic-style stats in real time have been created for aquatic exercisers hoping to boost their training regime.

They are the creation of Dan Eisenhardt, a former competitive swimmer and smart sportswear entrepreneur, who founded Vancouver-based firm Form.

Form's $200 (£165) goggles give swimmers visual feedback including measuring distance swam, stroke rate, pace per 100 yards, calories burned and lap times.
