The first fully decentralized social network. It's just open source code from a distributed volunteer team, fighting for our communication freedom, without any company or leaders to compromise. GOAL To help people interact in a censorship and blocking resistant manner which is immutable with a wide range of fully independent and decentralized (no central authority or corporation) communication services which are user friendly and based upon an open source fork of the bitcoin blockchain program. It will compete with Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Minds, Sola, Steemit, Mastadon and others.

Congrats Pocketpeople, we have passed 10K strong!
Pocketnet has reached 10K registered users. And activity is growing strong with average close to 800 posts per day and well over 1K comments.
Decentralization cannot be stopped. Despite the platform being in beta many users opine on how much cooler it already is versus the legacy social networks. And there is a whole list of enhancements that is slated to roll out in the next few months to make Pocketnet experience better than centralized old school big brother networks. We already have lots of great content and tons of even better discussions in comments and this is only the beginning. Invite your friends to be part of the future of internet!
Short list of enhancements coming within 3 months:

- Reposts, polls on blockchain
- Notifications for content from special Pocketeers (you will get notified when your favorite author posts)
- An extremely cool meme generator for comments and posts
- WebTorrent hosting of content
- plus some very big, but surprise feature
- in addition we are working on ability to install and run a node right from the desktop app (optional), thereby increasing the number of nodes to thousands
