Majority Leader McConnell Says Barrett Has Votes For Senate Confirmation

• Zero Hedge

"I felt a great disturbance in the farce, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."

We suspect that is the feeling across the liberalati after three days of fear-mongering by Democrats during the Senate confirmation hearings of Judge Amy Coney Barrett after Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just told reporters that "we have the votes" for Senate confirmation.

McConnell says he expects Barrett's nomination will clear the Judiciary Committee Oct. 22 and be on the Senate Floor on October 23rd (obviously before the election).

Sen, Lindsey Graham pushed past Democratic objections to set the panel's Oct. 22 vote on recommending her confirmation even before final witnesses testify before and against her nomination.

"This is a sham," said Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.

As AP reports, in the minority, Democrats acknowledge there is little they can do to stop them from locking a conservative majority on the court for years to come. The shift would cement a 6-3 conservative majority on the court
