The January 7, 2011 employment report issued by the U.S. Bureau of Labor has some "sit up and take notice" numbers in it. Presumably the major news media overlooked the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) numbers since none have reported on its gloomy statistics. Instead the major media echo chamber reverberates with spin instead of real journalism…as usual. After all the calculations the true number emerges: 47 percent of working-age Americans have full time jobs. The official unemployment rate—massaged, spun and turned inside out—is a very misleading 9.4 percent as of this writing.
