Egyptian state TV is now reporting the Al Jazeera news office in Cairo has been shut down and reporters are loosing their press credentials throughout Egypt.
Dan Nolan, a Al Jazeera correspondent tweeted the news early this morning. Nolan also said Al Jazeera’s media licenses have been revoked.
Al Jazeera just released a statement saying it “strongly denounces and condemns the closure of its bureau in Cairo by the Egyptian government.” The network vows to “continue its strong coverage regardless.”
