Donald Rumsfeld, who served as the U.S. Secretary of Defense under presidents Gerald Ford and George W, Bush, has gone on record with his deep concern over America's vulnerability to an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack. During an interview with Newsmax the former defense secretary discussed his new book and answered questions about possible threats the U.S. faces currently and in the near future. Rumsfeld stressed that he personally is worried about a tangible nuclear-generated EMP threat from certain enemy countries. He specifically named Iran and North Korea.
