Dad accused of sex abuse behind bars 2 years without trial

A Brazilian citizen and Sedona father of three has been in jail for 881 days accused of molesting his two sons. We are not identifying him so as to protect his children’s privacy. “Most important to me is my children need to know that didn't happen to them,” he says. The family therapist, Linda Bennardo, disagrees. She is the one who told the children's mom that the boys were sexually abused by their dad. The police reports document their stories as the two kids describe in graphic detail alleged encounters with their father in bed and in the shower. The problem is Bennardo, a key witness for the state, has since had her license revoked by the Arizona Board of Health Examiners after multiple complaints were filed by other fathers in similar custody battles.
