Woman stabs burglars in her home, now faces murder charges

A Colorado woman who stabbed two burglars at her home - killing one - is now facing murder charges.

Karen Elaine Cordova, 48, of Erie, Colo., was arrested on Monday, two days after cops said she stabbed the men with a five-inch blade after they broke into her home, where she grows medical marijuana.

One would think that an editor of a paper like this would be aware that colorado has a Make My Day Law. And thus do some follow up. [I am available to fact check] Hence do some follow up and thus find this: Karen Elaine Cordova was released from Weld County Jail late Thursday and the district attorney's office announced that no charges will be filed against Cordova at this time, however the investigation remains open, according to The Denver Post. from:
