You can pick the ones that want to destroy one freedom or another, but not, unless you vote for someone other than a DemoPublican, someone who will protect your freedoms.
Michele Bachmann became the first presidential candidate to sign a pledge, vowing to support a constitutional amendment that defines marriage between a man and a woman, and which calls for a ban on all pornography.
So not only does Michele Bachmann want to place into the Constitution something that is none of the government's damn business in the first place (marriage is a religious sacrament and we have a First Amendment prohibition on establishment) but in addition she wants to further restrain what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes.
I'm not in "support" of pornography. But adult, consensual sex between two people that someone happens to film and sell is none of the government's damn business, just like it's not any of the government's damn business who (as long as they are consenting adults) you choose to sleep with in the first place.
What part of liberty did Bachmann forget? Oh yeah, this part:
The pledge also ask candidates to promise to oppose the imposition of Sharia Islamic law.
That I happen to agree with as once again, The First Amendment bars establishment.
But apparently it's only Sharia law that Bachmann has a problem with. Mosaic? Oh that's just fine - I'm sure she'll introduce a Constitutional Amendment to hang adulterers next, while at the same time refusing to put back into the law fault-based divorce.
Go ahead folks, vote for fascism. All you choose when voting "D" or "R" is the face on your Hitler.
