Bastiat X Prize & Hoiles Prize 2011

International Policy Network (IPN) is now accepting submissions for its Tenth Bastiat Prize for Journalism. The Prize is open to writers anywhere in the world whose published articles eloquently and wittily explain, promote and defend the principles and institutions of the free society.In celebration of its tenth anniversary, the Bastiat Prize for Journalism this year will have a total prize fund of $70,000, with a First prize of $50,000, Second prize of $15,000 and Third prize of $5,000. Submissions must be received on or before July 31, 2011. All submissions must be made through the online entry form.

IPN has established the new R.C. Hoiles Prize this year, which will be awarded to a writer who best reflects the "Freedom Philosophy" of Raymond C. Hoiles. The R.C. Hoiles Prize comprises three awards: first ($10,000), second ($4,000), and third ($1000).
