County Attorney Does Not Want (Drug War) Debate Recorded!
• http://attorneyforfreedom.blogspot.com(Publisher: A posting from Marc J. Victor's website promoting the Drug War Debate)
An
email was sent to both County Attorney Bill Montgomery and Attorney
Marc Victor asking that the debate be recorded. Marc Victor welcomed the
idea of recording the debate, but County Attorney Bill Montgomery does
not want the debate recorded. If he is so sure of his position, why
would he not want his words recorded? His "excuse" is in the email
below:
Subject: Marijuana Debate
I have had a request that the debate be recorded in order to be posted
on the internet for those not able to attend the debate during the day.
I was not sure how you both felt about that. Let me know what you
think. Thank you both again for your willingness to come and debate at
our school. It is looking like we should have a pretty good turnout.

Fine with me.
Subject: RE: Marijuana Debate
Mr.
Montgomery has requested that the debate not be recorded to ensure that
his views on this subject are not used in any way regarding pending
litigation the county is involved with. Thank you

If his position was so solid, why is he afraid to have it recorded?
Blah Blah Blah... this "recording of the event" issue is just a method of getting out of getting his ass kicked.... IMNSHO
It is a public debate at a public forum...so of course the hosting public institution will ban recording under penalty of death and enforce copyright infringement claims with Youtube should surreptitious recording take place anyhow--because how can you stop it in this day and age.
