• FOX News

Amid fallout from Operation Fast and Furious

Dennis Burke, U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona, has delivered his letter of resignation to President Obama - effective immediately.

The move comes amid fallout from Operation Fast and Furious, that was designed to track gun buyers and major weapons traffickers along the border.  One of the guns was linked to the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry last year.

Agent Terry deserved better! Sadly, he is just one in a long line of agents, cops, and private citizens who have lost their lives to the mindless, mind-numbing and ludicrous make-work drug war and related "operations" that are what childish "men" do when they find themselves in positions of authority - out of harms way - and find they have never grown up: It must be strange, at least for some, to live as adults, while constantly flashing back to childhood and those most exciting days of cap gun and water pistol triumphs.

Let's hope that nobody else is sacrificed at the alter of ignorance that typifies so much of law enforcement, especially at the federal level.
