The importance of this story--and I am sure it is not over--is a airline passenger is asked permission to let the TSA search his bag when suspicious objects are seen (on xray?).   He refuses.

He is arrested.  The airport wing is shutdown diverting passengers to the other side of the airport.  Hours long delays.  Missed flights.

He is labeled belligerent...because he complained.  His property was destroyed with a water cannon.  Found not to be a bomb.  He is held overnight in jail anyway...because thy want to make an example of him I guess.  Since they refused to say what charges he was being detained on---which mans they wanted to charge him and were looking through the books. [Here is a useful LEO tip: Disorderly conduct, disobeying a lawful order, interfering with government business, disturbing the peace, assaulting a LEO, resisting arrest---these are the bullshit charges of the Gestapo when they still need to display a velvet glove over their iron fist to the public.  Don't worry, the glove comes off soon.]

Was this a permission situation?  Did he have the Right to say "No?" If no, they why did permission enter into it?  If yes, did they get a warrant signed by a judge ... and before they destroyed his property?  Since when is a person arrested for exercising their Right---Ooops, I forgot 9/11 changed everything.
