Police Arrest More Than 700 Protesters on Brooklyn Bridge

• NY Times
In a tense showdown above the East River, the police arrested more than 700 demonstrators from the Occupy Wall Street protests who took to the roadway as they tried to cross the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The police said it was the marchers’ choice that led to the enforcement action.

The cops did their jobs. Unexpectedly, they didn't "go nuts" on the limp d---- who made up the gaggle of so-called "protesters". What a bunch of idiots! Hell...People don't even know how or what to protest, anymore. The paradigm is apparently to "just do it". No real cause or belief system involved. We should all be glad that the protesters of yesteryear were at least able to think and reason; especially since they were actually putting themselves out there for serious and worthwile causes and issues. (I'd be interested in knowing how many I-Pads were confiscated.) It's hard to get too serious about a "march", when your staring a video game in the face.

I knew better than to walk in a roadway when I was three years old. It's hard to imagine the level of stupidity at work at this non-event. Does anyone actually know anyone else who is ignorant enough to believe that they wouldn't be arrested for blocking a major roadway?

The upside is that most of the "700" won't ever be elected for anything of importance, as they are all apt to step off acurb into the path of a speeding bus and meet an early demise. And, it's doubtful that any who live to "adulthood" are smart enough to become doctors or air-traffic controllers.
