Occupy Wall Street is many things to many people. To the makers of the new Batman movie, apparently, it’s the perfect backdrop for a scene.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” has issued a casting notice indicating it’s planning to shoot in New York for two weeks beginning on Oct. 29. An anonymous source told the Times the shoot could include some filming at the Occupy Wall Street protests. It’s not clear whether the protests will be part of the plot or whether the crowds will serve as a stand-in for something else that happens in the film. Urban unrest figured prominently in the last movie in the series, “The Dark Knight.”
