Foxconn Plans to Replace Its Gadget-Building Unhappy Human Workforce With 1 Million Robots

08-01-2011  •  Rebecca Boyle via PopSci.com

For some people, this story about robot workers taking human jobs may be good news.

Foxconn, the Taiwan-based factory firm that makes nearly half the world’s electronics, aims to replace 1 million of its workers with robots within in the next three years, the company announced over the weekend. The factory bots will reduce labor costs and improve efficiencies, the company’s founder, Terry Gou, told the Xinhua news agency. And they will be unable to take their own lives.

You’ve probably read about the spate of suicides at Foxconn factories, which has prompted the company to write no-suicide pledges for workers, and to install anti-suicide nets around tall buildings. Robotic assembly line workers won’t have any of these requirements, nor will they require food service, housing or any other amenities. And the robots will handle the repetitive, exhausting work without complaint.

IEEE Spectrum reports on rumors that the robot workers will be ABB’s Frida robot, which was specifically designed to work alongside humans on assembly lines.

"Foxconn Plans to Replace Its Gadget-Building Unhappy Human Workforce With 1 Million Robots", with all profits to Foxconn Executives and Central Bankers, and Associated 'Insider' 'Globalists'...

Naming Names: Your Real Government (When dark deeds unfold, point the finger in this direction).

The Real Revolution

"Boycott the globalists, cut off their support, undermine their system, and they lose their ability to commit these atrocities. That will be a real revolution and it can start today. Not burning cities and masked rebels waving flags, but communities no longer dependent and fueling a corrupt system we all know must come to an end.

Oh, this is too good.

The first few companies to get into robots will have it made. Big savings in labor reduction. Robots work for almost free (maintenance).

After awhile, more and more companies will be turning to robots to get similar savings.

As more and more people are replaced by robots, more and more people will be laid off. Since the robots will be taking up all the good jobs - and maybe ALL the jobs - there won't be anybody with any money to buy the products that the robots make. The results will be along these lines:

Fascism will implode, and we will go back to the horse and buggy days...

or

We might get lucky, and all of us go on welfare without any worries about where the necessities and pleasures of life will come from - the robots will make it all for us, for FREE...

or

Someone or some robot will truly develop Artificial Intelligence in the robots, and something like The Matrix or Terminator will happen for real.
