Crafted better than Arizona’s SB 1070, Utah may side-step Obama’s wrath by ‘morphing’ the bill into an uncontestable law at the state level. 

“The core intent of this bill is still very much like Arizona's illegal-immigration crackdown law. The differences are in fine legal details, meant to adhere to a federal judge's concerns about the Arizona law,” said Richard Piatt, AP journalist.

Much like the Arizona law, Sandstrom’s bill does not engage race, creed or color. It advocates for legal citizens and only engages illegal aliens if they commit a crime.

"It's not about race. I cannot stress this enough," Sandstrom said. "Illegal is not a race, it's a crime."

Sandstrom created the “Illegal Immigration Enforcement Act” in order to deal with outright lawlessness penetrating thousands of  Utah’s neighborhoods with drugs, crime, rapes, drunk driving, school destruction, hospitals bankrupting and jails bursting.

Sandstrom said, “The bill is not "Arizona light."

He expects it to be stronger and smarter than Arizona’s recent bill now being contested in federal court.

"This bill is not racism, it's just saying that the people of the state, the state of Utah, [are] taking this issue seriously," Sandstrom said. "The federal government has absolutely failed in its duty to protect our borders. They failed in their duty to do something about illegal immigration, and we're simply going to take current federal law, not anything beyond, and put it on to state books. It’s both legal and compassionate to those who are following the letter of the law.”

 As in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and dozens of other states, illegal aliens burden communities with illegal children known as ‘anchor babies’, hospitalizations via U.S. taxpayer dollars, overwhelmed schools, crime and prison costs. Sandstrom expects his bill to weather any attack by Obama and Holder. It mimics the U.S. Constitution and all its laws pertaining to illegal immigration. Finally, it satisfies Thomas Jefferson’s most sacred premise that states retain the right to defend themselves and maintain their own right to pass laws for their own protection.

Since Obama, Holder and Congress refuse to uphold immigration laws, the states must enact laws like Arizona’s to withstand and fend off the illegal alien invasion.

Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution: The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

Barack Obama and our U.S. Congress fail at every juncture to uphold America’s immigration laws as have the last five presidents and every Congress.
