Scandalous Anti-Russia Propaganda

It's vicious and unrelenting, a disturbing disinformation assault on a sovereign state without just cause - virtually daily from print and electronic media scoundrels, along with bipartisan neocons infesting Washington.

Even sites pretending semi-respectability like Salon.com publishes trash headlining "Does Vladimir Putin really own Donald Trump? It's more likely than you think," saying:

"Imagine the moment when Vladimir Putin first learned that his Russian hackers had struck gold by obtaining the emails of John Podesta," Hillary's campaign chairman.

"Shots of vodka all around, singing, dancing and hurling empty glasses into the fireplace. Then Putin rubs his palms together and begins to scheme: "How best to use this information?"

No respectable editor would publish this type trash. It continues, saying Putin could "demand a ransom in exchange for the public release of Podesta's hacked emails."

No emails were hacked. They were released by a disgruntled DNC staffer. Russia had nothing to do with it. Putin didn't interfere in America's election or European ones.

False claims otherwise are part of longstanding Russia bashing - accusations and allegations without evidence because there's none. 

Yet spurious Big Lies persist from Salon, other media scoundrels and bipartisan Russia-haters in Washington, piling on one baseless claim after another, including falsely accusing Moscow of invading Crimea and committing "aggression" against Ukraine.

"Of course we do not know for certain" if Putin compromised Trump, Salon admits - at the same time, saying "it is highly plausible."

The golden rule of good journalism is truth-telling. Accusations and allegations when made are groundless without verifiable evidence backing them, absent in Salon's piece - rubbish, not credible reporting.

Separately, hawkish neocon extremist John McCain is at it again. During an Australian junket at taxpayers' expense, he disgracefully called Putin America's "premier and most important threat, more so than ISIS" - Big Lie No. 1.

Nos. 2 through 6 included hyping the phony accusation about Russia "tr(ying) to destroy (America's) democracy (by) chang(ing) the outcome of" last year's election (2)…and they are still trying to change elections (3)."

"So I view Vladimir Putin - who has dismembered Ukraine (4), a sovereign nation, who is putting pressure on the Baltics (5) - I view the Russians as the far greatest challenge that we have (6)."

McCain's solution is piling on more sanctions along with efforts to isolate Russia. He even sided with Hillary, ludicrously claiming information exposing her criminality came from Moscow - Big Lie No. 7.

Lots of bipartisan extremists like him infest Washington - why imperial wars rage, perhaps a nuclear confrontation ahead likely because of lunatics like him influencing policymaking.
