They weaved themselves into the tapestry of world history as they affected countless millions of people in their day, and into the future. You also may read about Genghis Kahn, Stalin, Hitler, Putin, Mussolini, Mao, Napoleon and many other assassins throughout history. They caused untold misery, suffering, pain and death. They weaved their horrors onto humankind. But what about the people that weaved their good or bad into your life? You might think such individuals would rule on what's best for our country, not only today, but into the future. Doe, a 6-3 majority of the US Supreme Court ruled that the temporary protected status granted to immigrants from Haiti in 2010 could be discontinued by the Trump Administration. Writing for the majority, Justice Samuel Alito asserted that "a temporary status initiated by a previous administration can be terminated by a later administration if it determines that the conditions justifying the original decision have changed. In this case, the temporary protection was initiated due to an earthquake in Haiti." It's that simple. This past "Father's Day", all the fathers at my church in Denver stood-up with the female preacher, Michelle Medrano, when she asked fathers to stand. Loud applause! Gratitude! Everyone appreciated the understanding as to the challenges of fatherhood in the 21st century!
