More Border Patrol Harassment at Internal Immigration Checkpoints
The checkpoint depicted in the video above is the interim checkpoint located near kilometer post 45 on I-19 in Southern Arizona and championed by Congressional Representative Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona's 8th District. Like so many other Border Patrol checkpoint encounters, the video above documents harassment of the traveling public by agents who take advantage of their limited authority in an attempt to intimidate individuals into waiving their fundamental rights.

Constance,

I would like to come over to your house and have a look around. You never know, you might have some weapons you are not aware of. It's for you own safety. And, since you have nothing to hide, I'm sure you won't mind.

 Norman and Constance,

Do you really think it is possible to challenge the gov't without being rude? Freedom is almost never recaptured without the use of a gun. If in trying to keep our freedom, some people have to get a little mouthy and offensive, well that's a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

Whoever this jerk was that filmed the self made confrontation was looking for trouble. The white haired USBP agent was more polite and professional than I would have been if I were in his position in dealing with this jerk!

The mouth with the camera brought all this upon himself.  It sure looks like a set up to me, but not by the Border Patrol.  It's nothing to be asked if they can look in the trunk, but mouth had to say no in order to have something to film and make public.  He should have been arrested for interfering with an officer who is doing his best to do his duty to protect America.

the conditioning process of "papers please" continues-  It is interesting how the brown shirted storm troopers of the 1930's have been replaced by the green shirted hack booted thugs masquerading as law enforcement

The problem of border patrolling is not easy to understand and perform. To stop a driver at checkpoint is even worse to the driver. Actually, it is hell on both sides.

If the BP is good-looking, meaning faithfully married to his duty till death do they part but thinks like a skinhead, and many of them join the border enforcement force to have that power and for the love of using the truncheon of prejudice one someone’s head in the name of the law, the problem worsens and becomes dangerous because you are now looking at a raging war in the border.

We have such volatile situation right now all over the country; it is aggravated by illegal alien rage or anger especially in Arizona. If the driver looks like a Mexican or has a skin or has a face of a Mexican – and many of us in the south of the border do not only look like them, but speak with accent like immigrant Arnold Schwarzenegger – you have unsolved murders or resolved killings in favor of trigger-happy police misfits who ask questions and shoot to kill.

Passing a state law authorizing BP to harass civilians by mere suspicion in the name of internal security makes the government the master of the people instead of the people making a servant of the government that our great forebears had dreamed about. The merit of the Arizona immigration law cannot be challenged, except for this faulty humane or humanitarian ground.

Likewise the merit of the Republican attempt to “criminalize” undocumented immigrants cannot be challenged on security reasons but only on moral grounds because the idea is to shoot dead “criminals” and that Machiavellian solution to illegal immigration problem made them lose the 2004 elections and the Democrats took control of the land. And now we are in hell because radical liberals led by Obama had taken over the country and changed American lives from the way our forefathers used to know and live it down to their graves.
