WaPo Keeps Pounding the Nonexistent Russian Threat
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)
WaPo is a virtual CIA house organ, reporting what Langley wants published, mocking what legitimate journalism is supposed to be, abandoned for the imperial state, saying:
"Nearly a year into his presidency, Trump continues to reject the evidence that Russia waged an assault on a pillar of American democracy and supported his run for the White House."
"The result is without obvious parallel in US history, a situation in which the personal insecurities of the president - and his refusal to accept what even many in his administration regard as objective reality - have impaired the government's response to a national security threat. The repercussions radiate across the government."
"Rather than search for ways to deter Kremlin attacks or safeguard US elections, Trump has waged his own campaign to discredit the case that Russia poses any threat and he has resisted or attempted to roll back efforts to hold Moscow to account."
Disgraceful comments, perpetuating the myth of a nonexistent Russian threat. The fabricated claim is used to denigrate Trump for the wrong reasons, along with endless Russia bashing.
It's been ferocious under Vladimir Putin, a preeminent world leader, shaming his Western counterparts, a true world peace champion, urging mutual cooperation among all nations, opposing Washington's imperial wars.
Honesty and integrity in journalism aren't WaPo attributes, serving as a platform for imperial lawlessness and corporate empowerment, supporting US aggression and quest for world dominance.
WaPo cited Bush/Cheney administration CIA director Michael Hayden calling nonexistent "Russian interference as the political equivalent of" 9/11.
It was the mother of all US state-sponsored false flags, the most momentous anywhere, what Western media never explain.
WaPo quoted Hayden's Big Lie, saying "(w)hat the president has to say is, 'We know the Russians did it. They know they did it. I know they did it, and we will not rest until we learn everything there is to know about how and do everything possible to prevent it from happening again,' " adding:
Trump "has never said anything close to that and will never say anything close to that."
Why should he or anyone else perpetuate one of biggest Big Lies of our time!
No evidence suggests Russian interference in America's political process - or anything else hostile to the nation or any others.
Washington is hostile to all sovereign independent nations not bending to its will, wanting their governments toppled, replaced by pro-Western puppet regimes, war its favorite strategy of choice.
The Russian Federation never attacked or threatened another country. America does it all the time. WaPo and other Western media support what demands condemnation, never explaining vital truths they want suppressed.
WaPo: Russia wanted "Hillary (prevented) from reaching the White House."
WaPo: Russia "aggravates political polarization and racial tensions and to diminish US influence abroad."
WaPo's 7,100+ account was more treatise than article, going to extraordinary lengths to demonize Russia, denigrate Vladimir Putin, and bash Trump for wanting improved relations.
Bipartisan congressional hostility toward Moscow, endless witch-hunt investigations, and media war on the country make normal relations unattainable - Trump powerless to do anything about it.
The only redeeming aim of his otherwise deplorable tenure will never be achieved. Dark forces in Washington prevent it.
