NYT-Style Prostitution of the Press
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)
Like other establishment media, the Times has a stable of presstitutes assigned to fill daily editions with managed news misinformation and disinformation rubbish.
Times pseudo-journalist Tom Friedman consistently sinks to rock-bottom mediocrity, his columns filled with all the news that's fit to burn, not read.
The late Alex Cockburn once said he's "(s)o marinated in self-regard he doesn't…know when he's being stupid."
He once incredibly asked if Vladmir Putin is "secretly on the CIA's payroll (sic)?"
Defying reality, he falsely claimed it's because he "weaken(ed) Russia's economy and human capital base" — providing no credible evidence because there is none.
Pro-war and neoliberal, Cockburn also described him as "an industrial, implacable noise, like having a generator running under the next table in a restaurant. The only sensible thing to do is leave."
Matt Taibbi once said he "needs his own offshore drilling platform just to keep the east wing of his (11,400 square-foot) house heated," adding:
"Where does a guy whose family bulldozed 2.1 million square feet of pristine Hawaiian wilderness to put a Gap, an Old Navy, a Sears, an Abercrombie, and…Foot Locker in paradise get off preaching to the rest of us about the need for a 'Green Revolution'?"
Time and again, he blames US/NATO/Israel victims for high crimes against them.
His latest perversion of reality is headlined "Bibi Is Trump and the Israeli Change Coalition Is Biden,(sic)."
For all his faults and they're numerous, Trump in hindsight seems benign compared to his illegitimate successor and hardliners surrounding him.
As for Netanyahu and likely 8-party coalition heir to a polarizing figure Time magazine once called "King Bibi," the likely outgoing prime minister ran roughshod over the Israeli political scene and rule of law for 15 years while going all-out to subjugate Palestinians by state terror and three preemptive Gaza wars on his watch.
The likely incoming regime is largely indistinguishable from the outgoing one — hardline extremists controlling it.
On what matters most to Occupied Palestinians and Israeli Arab citizens, they'll face continued dirty business as usual like always before when one Israeli coalition regime replaces its predecessor.
Like time and again before, Friedman finds ways to be "stupid," as Cockburn explained.
As polarizing as Netanyahu became, his Likud party is more popular than the two leading opposition ones combined.
True enough, he ran roughshod over the rule of law and media critics.
True as well, he's using "every trick in the book" to retain power.
The same goes for other extremist Israeli party leaders in attempting to replace him and their Western counterparts, notably dominant Dem hardliners.
Left unexplained by Friedman and establishment media counterparts is how Dems replaced Trump by the most brazen election theft in US history.
An "electoral coup" occurred on November 3, Judicial Watch (JW) head Tom Fitton explained, JW adding:
"Many states report(ed) voter registration rates above 100%" of registered voter totals.
"(A)cross America…voter (rolls) are filthy in terms of having more people on the(m) than are eligible to vote."
As of September 2020, "335 US counties had 1.8 million more registered voters than eligible voting-age citizens."
"(V)ote totals…chang(ed) because of unprecedented, extraordinary, illicitly secretive, and inherently suspect counting AFTER" polls closed.
Nary a word of the above and much more like it was reported by Friedman, other Times columnists, or their establishment media counterparts.
Trump won. Biden lost. He and his double occupy the White House illegitimately.
Reelected DJT returned to private life.
Democracy in America again proved to be pure fantasy, the real thing virtually banned.
The same goes for Israel.
Apartheid ruthlessness is the law of the land.
Various parties compete to ally with enough others for majority Knesset control.
Each ruling coalition resembles its opposition.
Occupied Palestinians endure militarized rule — enforced by puppet PA leadership in cahoots with Israeli security forces.
Israeli Arab citizens and their Knesset representatives are treated like fifth column threats.
Friedman nonsensically compared Israel's opposition 8-party coalition to what he called "Bidenism" — wrongheadedly calling it "a movement of people who believe that society has to repair its torn political fabric (sic), back away from the brink (sic) and restore respect for institutions and for one another (sic)."
Illegally empowered Dems are ruthlessly waging war on humanity at home and abroad.
Friedman pretended not to notice.
Domestically, the Biden regime aims for 70% of Americans to self-inflict harm from toxic covid jabs by July 4.
On Wednesday, the Biden regime offered free beer (courtesy of Anheuer-Busch) and childcare as an inducement to be jabbed with what no one should touch.
CVS Pharmacy began a sweepstakes for jabbed individuals to destroy their health and shorten their lives for a chance to win free cruises, Super Bowl tickets and cash prizes — winners to be disqualify if die.
So-called state "vaccination lotteries" are inducing unwitting residents to be covid jabbed for a chance to win cash or other prizes.
Geopolitically, Biden regime hardliners are pushing the envelope for direct confrontation with nonbelligerent Russia and China.
The above threats to health, well-being, peace and the rule of law by a totalitarian state — enforced by police state harshness — is supported by the dominant US-led fourth estate instead of forthrightly condemning it.
What Friedman called Bidenism and Lapidism ignored the worst of what they represent.
No different from how Netanyahu operates, they're at war on what just societies hold dear.
What Friedman hopes is "the future" for both countries are societies unsafe and unfit to live in.
