Considering Congressman Paul has for many years made a point in returning a significant portion of his annual office budget to the US Treasury, I think it is apparent that this airfare issue is an unfair issue. Ron Paul has been frugal, but he does need to travel between Capitol Hill and Texas. He has, as I understand, never taken a taxpayer funded foreign junket in his 12 terms. Paul's enemies are desperate to create a scandal smearing Paul, using the slightest innuendo because Ron Paul is squeaky clean!

It cheers me that this is the best the media can find.  In the meantime they sure don't want to discuss why he is referred to as "Dr. No!" in CONgress.

Two YEARS of travel for Congressman Paul is less than ONE FLIGHT for Nancy Pelosi, Staff, and Entourage...

BTW - anyone have the actual figures of how much Dr. Paul has returned to the General Fund each year out of his Congressional Salary?  I bet anything it far exceeds any expenditures incurred.

From his congressional website:
Congressman Paul Returns Unused Portion of Office Budget to US Treasury PDF Print E-mail

Washington, DC: Congressman Ron Paul has returned $141,580 of unspent office funds to the US Treasury. This represents just over 9% of the total office funds, and an increase over the $100,000 returned last year.
