Sam Ettaro from RepublicMedia.TV - Up close and PERSONAL at the G-20 meeting in Pittsburgh
Samuel Anthony Ettaro is a national figure in the freedom broadcasting movement and a Pennsylvania-based TV producer and media educator. As an activist and independent media producer Ettaro is most well-known for his work as Aaron Russo's National Media Director. Many independent media producers credit Ettaro's passionate public speeches, leadership and educational efforts on the subject of "Guerrilla Citizen Journalism" with being a major force in establishing the exploding national independent media scene. After Russo's death Ettaro left his position with these organizations to run for local office and focus his media efforts on building RepublicMedia.TV and pursue his teaching career.

Professionally, Ettaro has produced documentary films and television shows for PBS and commercial broadcast stations and makes his primary living as an independent digital media consultant creating DVDs, video and websites for clients around the country through his home-based studio. He has also served as a media consultant to educational facilities where his specialty is in adult ed and high-school level digital media technologies. Currently, Ettaro is a high school instructor where he teaches four grade levels digital media technology. He also serves on local Borough Council in his town of Curwensville.

Though he became well-known nationally over the past few years, Ettaro has in reality been a long-time political activist and educator going all the way back to the Battle of Seattle in 1999 where he pioneered live webcasting by providing the first-ever live broadcast from Corvallis, OR on the WTO protests and what was becoming known then as the true nature of the "Globalization" that needed to be resisted. He has taken part in intense street-level journalism facing armor clad riot police with camcorder in hand, engaged local, state and federal politicians in direct hard-line questioning and enjoyed a successful run as a dynamic radio host on various independent political stations including www.wtprn.com and www.republicbroadcasting.org, www.revereradio.net as well as producing his own broadcast efforts www.thecitizensadvocate.net and www.ettaro.com.

Over the years, Ettaro's networks have covered live events such as the G-20 Protests in Pittsburgh, Campaign for Liberty, Rally For the Republic in 2008, the Constitution Party National Meeting in 2008, the San Diego 911 Citizen's Grand Jury as well as the 2007 4th of July ACT Independent Rally in Philadelphia and other national level activist gatherings where he and his team provided unprecedented near-real-time coverage of these events, lifting the bar for independent media throughout the country.

Ettaro is an active organic gardener, guitarist and singer-songwriter and he is passionately in love with his little girl and wife who serve as his inspiration for his continued efforts in resisting tyranny and lift up others through providing meaningful educational opportunities and inspiration. His personal email is samuel@ettaro.com
