TOPICS MENTIONED... We'll get to this perspective in a future show... some prep for 'ya

Here are some articles on the end times scenario as it relates to Russia, Syria, Gog and Magog, Armageddon, etc....

1.  Armageddon is not turning out quite as Gog and Magog planned it

The only problem is that the "end times" is not a Jewish story, it is a Christian story predicted in Revelation

By Katherine Frisk

Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

For the last couple of years the media has been full of stories about the "end times" scenario and trying to put it into a Zionist framework with the restoration and the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. This program has included the destruction of both the Christian and the Muslims quarters and their places of worship in both the old and the new city.

The only problem is that the "end times" is not a Jewish story, it is a Christian story predicted in Revelation. It is also a Shiite Islamic story where the Mahdi will join with Jesus during the second coming and defeat the anti-Christ.

Central to Revelation are the seven churches of Asia situated in what once was Greece until over 500 years ago. Istanbul in what is now known as Turkey, ancient Constantinople, was the epicenter of Christianity at the famous church the Hagia Sophia for 1,500 years until the Turkish invasion and colonization of Greece and many parts of Eastern Europe.

The Turks in turn come from Anatolia and are a people referred to as Gog and Magog in Revelation. The savage hordes from the east. Also known as Khazars. Regarded by all those around them as a barbaric and violent people led by their king known as the Kagan. The name Kagan still lives on today.

2. Russia, Syria, and Gog of Magog

Russia's recent military aggression in Syria has many prophetically minded Christians wondering if the Gog of Magog war will soon transpire. In order to answer this question, we need to better understand what Ezekiel's prophecy foretells.

Many Christians believe Russia is expanding its military pressence in the Middle East to join its Shia Muslim allies in an attack on Israel.  These same Christians believe that this attack occurs prior to the 70th Week of Daniel and that God supernaturally defeats and destroys Russia and the Muslim nations. These Christians base this belief on their assumption that Russia is the "Rosh"  in this famous passage:

Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. (Ezek. 38: 3 NASB)

If this thinking is incorrect, millions of Christians will be watching events in the Middle East, waiting for a Russian "Gog," and may miss what prophecy truly says is going to happen.  With that in mind let's examine the prophecies found in Ezekiel 38 and 39 in detail and find out if what is ocurring with Russia, Syria, and Gog of Magog are truly a sign of  that war.

3. Russia, Syria and Bible Prophecy

In September 2013 Mother ran an article entitled "Oh Magog! Why End Times Buffs Are Freaking Out About Syria."  In response to allegations that the Syrian government used chemical weapons on its own people many Americans called for the United States to bomb this government's inhuman military.  Syria's military controls its capital city of Damascus, one of the oldest cities in the Middle East.  For end time buffs this brings to mind an end time prophecy from the Old Testament Book of Isaiah.  In Isaiah 17:1 KJV the prophet wrote "The Burden of Damascus.  Behold Damascus is taken away from being a city and it shall be a ruinous heap."  If the U.S. bombed Damascus this could result in the city becoming a ruinous heap and be the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy?

This controversy over Syria has renewed attention in end times Bible prophecy, especially since both Russia and Iran support the Syrian government.  Many Christians believe that Russia and Iran will play key roles in the fulfillment of end times Bible prophecy that ultimately leads to Armageddon and the end of the world as we know it.  Many end time enthusiasts believe Russia is Gog/Magog, the leader and his evil empire that Ezekiel 38/39 says will lead a multi-national invasion of Israel during the end times. The battle of Gog/Magog of Ezekiel 38/39 is considered to be one of the most important events prophesied for the end times.  Many evangelical Christians believe that Ezekiel 38/39 offers an exact description of Russia with Ezekiel 38:5 also listing Persia (Iran), Libya and Ethiopia among the invaders. Historian Paul Boyer at the University of Wisconsin in his book When Time Shall Be No More: Prophecy Belief in Modern American Culture, Harvard University Press, 1992, (p.162) wrote "So hackneyed had this scenario (Magog and Scythia as Russia) become by the 1980's that its proponents hardly bothered with geographic and linguistic evidence marshaled by earlier writers."

4. Gog, Magog, Israel and Russia

What role does Islam play in the world? Moreover, what is the outcome of Islam?  These questions continue to come to mind to those who see the conflict between Islam and the West rise.  One cannot help but see the conflicts all around the world, and see the role Islam plays.

For example, in Europe we see the conflict in Kosovo, in Russia there are the Chechens who are at war with Russia.  In Iraq, we see the battle between Sunnis and Shiites, along with forces from the United States and Europe.  India has a border with Pakistan, both nuclear countries, there are constant rumblings of war, between these nations.  Israel in 2006 had a war with Hezbollah, a Shiite group in Lebanon, supported by Iran and Syria.  Iran  threatens to destroy the Jewish State, and wants to build a nuclear arsenal.

On top of all these openly national conflicts, we have the threat of Islamic terrorism, which affects Muslim countries as well Western countries.  Where is this conflict headed?  For those who study Bible prophecy, the conflict in the Middle East is no mystery, the final battle according to the Bible, Armageddon, is located in Israel.

The miracle of the nation of Israel cannot be under estimated, if one tries to understand these conflicts around the world, and their conclusion. Ezekiel, 2600-years ago, along with the other prophets of the Bible, foretold of a national rebirth of Israel, gathered from the nations (Ezekiel 36-37).  Ezekiel followed this by describing a confederation of nations who would attack a reborn, nation assembled out of the nations in Ezekiel 38 and 39.   This event is known in the Bible as the battle of Gog and Magog.

The battle of Gog and Magog is an event, which plays a prominent role in Islamic, Jewish and Christian eschatology. Although the scenarios have different results, all three faiths see Gog and Magog as a major event. Now just what are Gog and Magog is the subject of this paper.

5. How does Gog and Magog relate to Armageddon?

Many are discussing an upcoming, final world war, even if they are unbelievers in Christ. How does the biblically predicted battle of Gog and Magog fit into this scenario?

First of all, it appears that the battle of Gog and Magog is NOT the battle of Armageddon (the final war of nations).

Armageddon – attack first from the east, and then an attack by the entire world. They come to one place:

Rev 16:12 the kings east of the Euphrates come.

Rev 16: 14 the kings of the earth and the whole world come (this would include Gog and Magog)

*** I personally think that the "whole world" is not literal. I think it means all those who are personally against Israel, or the Antichrist. If current attitudes prevail at that time, the "whole world" will be represented by those who have an interest in the region, the power that would go with it, and the willingness to fight.

Certain countries, especially Europe, have demonstrated such a cowardice and passivity to terrorism, and other real threats, that they would choose to allow the enemies to invade their countries, rather than fight back. It would be hard to imagine tiny neutral countries, like Iceland and the Philippines, to be involved at all.

I think this passage refers to such a massive amount of troops, that it seems like the "whole world" is involved. But maybe I am wrong.

Rev 16: 16 they all gather in the valley of Armageddon. (Har Megiddo)

*** the Battle of Armedeggon is also described in Zechariah 12-14, where "all nations" come against Jerusalem. The Messiah comes at this point to the Mount of Olives, an earthquake occurs, and Israel is delivered from her enemies, who are destroyed. The Lord strikes the enemies with a plague, and their flesh dissolves.

Vince Edwards

Vince is the author of:I'm Leaving Civilization, Wanna Come With Me? (Click Here for PDF)

You are entering a "Common Sense Zone."

30 years of activism and law research has culminated in this simplified text of how the system really works. Once you're aware of how "the matrix" has you, you'll have the knowledge necessary to free yourself.

Today Vince is the community leader for the Garden of Eden project in Blanca, Colorado, which is a model for a network of local communities. The goal is to create paradise where all the basics are covered for the lowest possible investment per member.

For as low as $200 per month interest free you could be living free. Food, water, shelter, Wi-Fi, electric, heat all eventually covered for a one time price. Once your membership is paid off you will never need to pay another bill again.

All members contribute 16hrs/WK of their time to continue improving quality of life for everyone in the community.

After 7 years of law study and nearly 20 years of activism Vincent has decided to simply exercise his rights without asking anyone permission. If he is correct in his presumptions of law, we could all be living in a world of abundance, if we just learned what our right are and how to enforce them, without the "help" of an attorney.

For his current project, Vincent has been studying code enforcement and how it is unlawfully used on non-commercial activity. He asserts that ALL code enforcement on private property is fraud as well as unconstitutional.

As evidence of this he has put his own property on the line and 37 days after service upon him of a 10 day warning, he is still yet to receive a summons even though publicly he's been egging on the "powers that be" to give him a call so he can go pick up his summons and have his day in court.

Instead of receiving a summons, Vincent and anyone else who disagrees with COSTILLA COUNTY CORPORATION about the law is harassed, intimidated and terrorized until they comply. We're going to discuss law, your rights and what you can do if someone violated them. One thing is for sure according to Vincent, if you need an attorney to defend them, you don't have any.
