Charles Heller

Charles Heller has been an Arizonan since 1978 when he became a refugee for the right to keep and bear arms from Illinois.
 
He is co-founder of The Arizona Citizens Defense League and their communications coordinator, and host of Swap Shop, Liberty Watch, and America Armed & Free Radio Programs on KVOI in Tucson, available at liberty Watch Radio dot com.
 
He has two adult children 37 and 35, and has a passionate interest in naval history and undersea combat. He is a wreck diver for a hobby.
 
Interesting fact: has visited 25 of the 28 submarines on display in the US, and 2 that ARE NOT on display.

ABOUT THE ARIZONA CITIZENS DEFENSE LEAGUE

The Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) is a non-profit 501(c)(4), all volunteer, non-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to the principles contained in Article II, Section 2 of the Arizona Constitution that "All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights."  The rights of self-defense and bearing arms are the foundation for all other rights.  Our freedom of speech, our freedom from unreasonable searches, our rights against self-incrimination, our right to bear arms, all of our fundamental rights only exist because we stand firmly resolved to preserve them. AzCDL exists to strengthen that resolve.

AzCDL's  success  is not accidental.  AzCDL was founded by a group of local activists who recognized that a sustained, coordinated, statewide effort was critical to restoring and protecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners.  Between legislative sessions, we look for ways to improve existing laws and meet with legislators on proposed bills.  During a session, AzCDL's representatives work full-time at the Arizona Capitol, testifying at committee hearings, monitoring Floor votes, and working with other pro-rights groups.  AzCDL lobbies heavily on behalf of our membership and the good citizens of Arizona.  We lobby against bills that constitute an impairment on your Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

 

AzCDL believes that the emphasis of gun laws should be on criminal misuse and that law-abiding citizens should be able to own and carry firearms unaffected by unnecessary laws or regulations.

Towards that end, we are pursuing the following Arizona legislative improvements

"Freedom to Carry" – Restore and protect the right of law-abiding citizens to carry a firearm
openly or discreetly anywhere they have a right to be.
 

Fewer restrictions on the lawful carrying of firearms on Public property 
(state and local government buildings, parks, etc.).
 

 "Restaurant Carry" – The ability of law-abiding citizens to dine out while carrying a firearm.
 

Continued strengthening and preservation of the right of presumed innocence in self-defense situations.
 

Strong State Preemption – Firearms laws should be consistent throughout the State.
 

Liability responsibility for property owners who ban firearms.
 

Continued improvements to CCW laws.

Bitcoin Tour

Our short Bitcoin Tour begins in arizona, where we currently reside. We will be headed to Santa Cruz, California where we will be staying for a couple weeks. We will be heading back to arizona for the Bitcoin Summit March 14th-15th, and then onto the Texas Bitcoin Conference March 27-29th where I will be speaking on an all women panel.

Our tour may or may not continue after this, you'll have to stay tuned in to find out!

Our family will be using bitcoin for travel and stay along the way.
