Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to "defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic." That oath, mandated by Article VI of the Constitution itself, is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and Oath Keepers declare that they will not obey unconstitutional orders, such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as "enemy combatants" in violation of their ancient right to jury trial. See the Oath Keepers Declaration of Orders We Will Not Obey for details.

Oath Keepers reaches out to both current serving and veterans to remind them of their oaths, to teach them more about the Constitution they swore to defend, and to inspire them to defend it. See below for details on how we do that. Oath Keepers also includes a membership program designated as "Associate Members", which consists of patriotic citizens who have not served in uniform but who serve now by supporting this mission with their Associate Membership and volunteer activities. Oath Keepers welcomes our Associate Members and appreciates their support of our mission.

Our motto is "Not on our watch!"

Existing Law Grants Trump Authority to Build the Wall

By Dan Lyman  - January 30, 2019

President Trump can immediately order the military to build a barrier along the southern border under existing laws, according to analysis presented by Congressman Mo Brooks (R-Ala.)

Rep. Brooks made his case during a hearing of the Armed Services Committee, citing U.S. Codepertaining to "Support for counterdrug activities and activities to counter transnational organized crime."

Rep. Brooks laid the foundation for his argument by pointing to the loss of American lives at the hands of illegal aliens — roughly 2,000 in fiscal year 2018 — as well as internationally trafficked drugs, which contribute to a "substantial portion" of some 70,000 overdose deaths in the U.S. every year.

Oath Keepers Offer of Protection to Covington Catholic Students and Family

January 30, 2019 -

By Stewart Rhodes, Founder of Oath Keepers

Dear Covington Catholic High School Students and Families,

We, the law enforcement and military of Oath Keepers (both current serving and retired) offer you our protection if you need us, given the recent disturbing multiple death threats that sprang directly from the mass libel committed against you by leftist media.  We will also protect your legal counsel if they request it.  We know that at least one of the law firms representing CovCath students/families received a bomb threat.

We have retired police officers, special warfare veterans, military combat-arms veterans and highly trained Personal Security Detail professionals who would consider it both an honor and a duty to protect you, the CovCath students and families against terrorist threats.

This is an offer of a security escort to and from the school, and an offer to conduct a security assessment of your home and of the perimeter around the home. We are also willing to post up outside the home of any student and family who feel the need, such as those under direct death threat or who have been "doxed" by radical leftists (who are encouraging terrorism against the students and their families).  Such security can be covert or overt, depending on your needs.

Please Donate to Support Our Stand for Covington Students

January 30, 2019

Oath Keepers needs your support. We are boots on the ground at Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky, standing in support of the free speech rights of the students, and standing against leftist terrorism. Please donate to support our efforts and help us cover our travel expenses.

DONATE HERE (https://oathkeepers.org/product/donate/)

Oath Keepers Founder Stewart Rhodes is currently in Kentucky, and will be outside the school each day this week, starting today.

We have issued a call to action for Oath Keepers and other patriots to join him there to show support for the students' right of free speech and their right to not be murdered by hate-filled radical leftists.  Unfortunately, the students have received multiple death threats.

Oath Keepers has also issued an offer of protection to the students and their families if they feel the need.  We have very capable and experienced retired police officers and military veterans who are willing to volunteer for such personal security details (to escort them to and from the school, to do free security assessments of their homes, and to protect their homes if needed).

Our men have protected numerous high profile individuals and events against far-left violence, such as from the domestic terrorists of Antifa (who proudly boast of their use of violence, and their threatened use of violence, to shape the behavior of the population, which is the definition of terrorism in federal law).

Please support our efforts by donating to help us cover our travel costs. It is critical that the students and their families know that America supports them, and that American LEO and military veterans are here to help protect them if needed

Call to Action: Stand For the Students of Covington Catholic High School

February 4, 2019

Join us in taking a stand outside of Covington Catholic High School, starting on Wednesday, January 30.  Stand for the students!  Stand against terrorism!

Calling all Oath Keepers, all three Percenters, all patriots, all Americans who believe children shouldn't be threatened with death for going to school or for attending a school field trip to D.C. –  it is time to stand up to the terroristic insanity of the far left.

It's time to stand for the rights of free speech, assembly, and association and to stand against terrorism, by standing for the students of Covington Catholic High School, and standing up for their right to go to school without being murdered by hate-filled terrorists.   Starting on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, join us outside the school to make a public stand in support of the students.

The Deep State "Show Trial" Persecution of Roger Stone

January 28, 2019 – By Stewart Rhodes

The pre-dawn FBI raid on Roger Stone's home, with CNN conveniently tipped off to be there, shows the deep state "combined arms" machine in action – but the ultimate target is Trump himself.

Legal analysis by Attorney William J. Olson

(a veteran Washington D.C. area lawyer)

Legal Warrior Friends —

Through Republican politics, I have known Roger Stone since 1969 or 1970, and pretty much disagreed with him, and from time to time disliked him, since about 1980.  But this indictment is absurd.

Again, proving the foolishness of the appointment of the Special Counsel, not one substantive crime was charged — only "process" crimes based on how Roger interacted with an investigation.  Mueller got the D.C. Grand Jury to return an indictment with three counts for violation of three elastic statutes, each with huge penalties.

I.  Obstruction of Proceedings under 18 USC 1505  (note — not obstruction of justice).

The statute provides:

Whoever corruptly, or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication influences, obstructs, or impedes or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede … the due and proper exercise of the power of inquiry under which any inquiry or investigation is being had by either House, or any committee of either House or any joint committee of the Congress—

Shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.

That statute, like so many other federal statutes, is so broad that it has no meaning.  Any lobbyist who warns a Congressmen that he will be defeated at the polls if he holds an investigative  hearing could be convicted of violating it.

II.  False Statements under 18 USC 1001.

These false statement indictments are brought not for lies, but for statements with which prosecutors disagree.  Who investigates prosecutors who make false statements?  Really, no one.  Does this law even apply to them.  Probably not.

Look at the six statements Roger is said to have made that are claimed to have been false and tell me — from this moment on — why would anyone ever testify before a Congressional Committee if he could assert the Fifth Amendment?

Generally witnesses want to tell their story so as to avoid being indicted or thought of badly.  But after this, the greater danger appears to be a prosecutor will indict you based on anything you do say.  People cooperate with investigations because they believe they have done nothing wrong.  Now you might get indicted even if you are right, and you have done nothing wrong, based on how you tried to defend yourself and tell your story.

With everyone taking the Fifth, Mueller may have just ended meaningful Congressional investigative hearings, but he probably does not even know it.

II.  Witness Tampering under 18 USC 1512(b)(1).

That statute states:

(B) cause or induce any person to–

(i) withhold testimony, or withhold a record, document, or other object, from an official proceeding;

The charge is for an attempt to persuade another person to "influence, delay, and prevent the testimony of" that person in "an official proceeding."  Couldn't that elastic statutory language include ANY conversation with ANY witness about the substance or scheduling of that person's testimony?

And again, is this statute ever applied to prosecutors who lean on witnesses?

Final thoughts.

When did prosecutors end the practice of notifying lawyers for persons who were indicted that their client must present himself on a specified date at a specified time?  Answer:  when federal prosecutors learned that part of their job is show biz.  Prosecutors who want to be U.S. Attorneys, or DOJ officials, or candidates for Congress, or judges, need to get noticed.  Anyone think Mueller does not have an ego?  Did anyone really think that Roger was going to resist arrest?  No — its theater.

The CNN reporter at the scene said he was at Roger's house at 5 am because of "reporter's instinct."  This proves the deep state media can lie to us, and that's "OK."  The FBI can lie to witnesses, and that is "legal."  The CNN video from the raid this morning clearly shows demonstrably evil CNN thugs doing the bidding of demonstrably evil Special Counsel thugs.

I have long urged the repeal of the ENTIRE federal criminal code, and its substitution with a couple of constitutionally-authorized crimes.  I am reinforced in that view.  There are only a few crimes that are supported by enumerated powers, or other constitutional provisions.  http://www.lawandfreedom.com/site/constitutional/criminal.html

If we did not know it before, I hope we all realize that we are on one deep state list or another.  If we did not irritate someone along the way in our practices, we were not standing up for truth.  The noose is tightening — on us and our clients.

Frankly, I am at a loss to know what to do to resist this particular form of evil.  I urge us all to pray as to how to resist a criminal justice system which has grown abusive of the people, and when someone gets an answer to that prayer, please share it.

Bill Olson

COMMENTARY FROM STEWART RHODES:  The shocking pre-dawn raid on Roger Stone, with the CNN cameras rolling, reminds me of the "show trials" that used to occur in the Soviet Union, with the "dangerous enemies of the Revolution" conveniently filmed or photographed by Pravda as their homes were raided by heavily armed Secret Police and they were brought out at gunpoint, with subsequent public coerced confessions (also filmed by approved state media).  CNN is the American Pravda – the official state media of the shadow state/deep state. That is why they were there – they are just as much a gear in the grinding machine of the deep state as is the FBI and the deep state loyal prosecutors.

As Greg McWhirter, a current serving sheriff deputy who serves on our Board of Directors, noted:

The thing that people should be very concerned about, in my opinion, is the fact that CNN was there. Someone in the FBI told CNN to be there,  while the indictment was under seal. That is a telltale sign of how far the media and the deep state are in it together to regain control.

The idea of your "run of the mill" FBI agent revealing something from a sealed indictment is crazy. That's a career ending move. Someone with some real juice told CNN to be there.

Gun rights lawyer David Hardy described it as:

[A]"SWAT team, predawn raid, cameras on hand to film it to make sure everyone gets the message, something that would be a sign of a coup, or coup being thwarted, in a Third World country …

Frankly, at this point in time we do live in a manner of Banana Republic, just one where the regime is more competent at staying in power. And by regime I don't mean the president. He may be the titular head of state, but the actual regime is well under him, most holding (essentially) life appointments, with little internal control.

Both gentlemen are spot on. And Mueller is the "Attorney General" and Chief Inquisitor of that deep state "actual regime." In fact, it's as if we are in a bizarro world flipping of reality where Hillary had won the election instead of Trump, appointed Mueller her AG, and unleashed her DOJ and her FBI on her political enemies.

The deep state is aggressively prosecuting its political opponents, building up to the ultimate prize of prosecuting President Trump for the "crime" of being elected, while the titular Trump DOJ/AG has, to date, prosecuted NONE of the blatant criminals of the deep state.  For just one irrefutable example, there has been not even one prosecution for the clear, open violation of the federal statutes against harboring illegal aliens and conspiring to harbor, aid or abet illegal aliens, despite the government of California declaring itself a "sanctuary state" and despite numerous "sanctuary cities" with their leftist politicians thumbing their noses at the supreme law of the land, and, in cooperation with open-border activists, not just encouraging but directly assisting illegals in entering the United States and actively harboring them here.

Why have there been no prosecutions for that?   Because the DOJ and FBI are still thick with old-guard globalist deep staters, and because Trump has repeatedly been maneuvered into appointing more of the same into leadership in both the DOJ and FBI.   I predict that until that changes, the only prosecutions you will see will be by the deep state, for the deep state.   Trump needed to drain the swamp there first, and he is now running out of time.

Stewart Rhodes

Founder of Oath Keepers and Yale Law School graduate (yes, that's how I know how the globalist deep state works).

The Cypherpunk Dream: Protecting Data and Dismantling the Dossier Society - Jan 25, 2019

AI specialist Dr. Rand Hindi conducted a presentation on cypherpunk history and data privacy in St. Moritz, Switzerland, at the Crypto Finance conference. At the beginning of the talk, he asked the audience to unlock their smartphones and pass them to their neighbors. The audience responded with a gasp. Someone in the crowd even vocalized their disdain for the idea. Naturally, people feel guarded when it comes to protecting their digital content and private data. This is why the cypherpunks believed protecting personal info was of paramount importance.

The Cypherpunks, Data Privacy, and the Dossier Society

Protecting data is not only about preventing hackers and thieves from gaining access to personal credentials. According to the cypherpunks, it is also about denying governments access to large troves of information and surveilling the population. In this sense, data privacy represents the sine qua non of personal sovereignty in cyberspace.

The cypherpunk creator of digital cash David Chaum once lamented that internet technologies would create a dossier society. This dossier society means government would catalog information on each individual, and they would possess piecemeal documentation regarding people's identity and history. They would also track every person and keep tabs on their comings and goings. In its final incarnation, the dossier society would equate to a horror show worse than the dystopia depicted in George Orwell's 1984.

In a way, this has already transpired. The U.S. government in partnership with large companies like Google and AT&T constantly collects "metadata." This metadata allows governments to piece together a picture of an individual, allowing the state to gain more accessibility to their private affairs. It's essentially a Gestalt panopticon of digital control wound tightly around the neck of each person.

Curtailing the Dossier Society With Encrypted Protocols

In order to fight back, cypherpunks and white hat hackers have been developing and deploying encryption schemes to protect sensitive digital materials. One example is Phil Zimmermann's PGP or Pretty Good Privacy. Zimmerman created PGP in 1991 as a method to protect emails through public-private key encryption and symmetric-key cryptography.

This method allows people to secure their communication channels with cryptographic privacy. It keeps snoops and government agents from reading the contents of email information. Governments can still determine the header info on emails to collect metadata, but it at least provides a degree of privacy for any sensitive material contained inside the digital package. Its major flaw is it's not easy to use, and it requires users to share a private key database.

Following the Crypto-Anarchist Dream: 3 Reasons to Reject KYC and AML Dec 23, 2018

Last year, crypto KYC and AML requirements came bursting onto the scene with thunderous applause and approbation. Many traders felt like the ICO sector was rife with scammers and con artists. In this sense, they believed there would be redemption through government. The scammers and hucksters would go to prison for defrauding investors and all would be well. After all, many people believed government regulations were necessary to curb people's appetite for ethereum-based shitcoins. "All financial markets need regulations!" was their lodestone.

Letting Go of the Crypto-Anarchist Dream

The emergence of more government into the cryptocurrency space reflected a sentiment antithetical to the crypto-anarchist dream. This is the dream of being financially independent and removed from the state apparatus. Bitcoin emerged on the heels of the 2007 and 2008 financial collapse as a way to stop onerous regulations and crush the banking elite under the weight of financial sovereignty. And yet many players in the cryptocurrency ecosystem seem to have forgotten the purpose of Bitcoin's evolution.

As a reminder, there are three powerful reasons why the cryptocurrency industry as a whole should reject KYC and AML regulations and the governments that issue them. These are the same reasons why the industry should not uphold the broken, parasitical system that has caused the suffering of millions.

Regulations Are Threats of Violence

Right out of the gate, a regulation is a de facto threat of violence. When a government issues any kind of regulation, they are effectively saying, "Do what we want or we will put you in jail or kill you." A lot of people try to avoid or dance around this truth. They say regulations protect consumers, investors and businesses

However, these threats of violence do not protect anyone. KYC and AML regulations are the most obvious examples. When government forces people to comply with "know your customer" regulations, they force people to provide personal, sensitive information. They are likewise coercing financial institutions into demanding this information from their customers. It creates a predatory, unnatural environment.

In a free market, companies would not issue these threats or they would simply lose business. It's economically insane. Government is thus an artificial player in the market that also harms people via its regulatory requirements. Governments create misaligned incentives. In this regard, regulations are a miasma pervading the financial life of humankind. What is worse is these coercive regulations also have serious collateral consequences.

Crypto Schisms and Fork Psychology Dec 17, 2018:

Forking within the crypto ecosystem is often a controversial subject. Many crypto-enthusiasts loathe it, taking particular exception to the so-called "contentious hard fork." They believe hard-forking damages a cryptocurrency, and say it should be avoided at all costs. They also believe forking is detrimental to the market and represents a financial burden. However, this view is limited and narrow-minded.

Forking for Good, Forking for Bad

Contentious hard-forking is how the community manages its systemic health, prevents bad actors from gumming up the infrastructure, and aligns the protocol in accordance with group principles. Forking is thus more than a way to upgrade a protocol. In reality, forking is a way to maintain self-care in governance without resorting to violence. It is about group dynamics and cooperating to discover peaceful solutions. It is as much psychological as technological.

Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum's creator, agrees. In a cogent article called "Hard Forks, Soft Forks, Defaults and Coercion," he said:

"Proponents of hard forks are often derided as trying to effect a "hostile take over" of a network, and "force" users to go along with them. Additionally, the risk of chain splits is often used to bill hard forks as "unsafe". It is my personal viewpoint that these criticisms are wrong, and furthermore in many cases completely backwards."

 Definition of a Cryptocurrency Fork

A cryptocurrency hard fork equates to a network chain split. It means stakeholders decide to divide a preexisting cryptocurrency into two competing chains. Both chains share the same transactional history, but become two unique coins that follow different paths.

In essence, these splits are how decentralized communities resolve disputes and come to terms with technological and philosophical differences. This is different from a soft fork, which is a coercive protocol change that is backwards compatible, but forces users to comply with its rule set.

The next Freedom Summit will be held on February 8th and 9th, 2019 at The ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Freedom Summit offers a highly distinguished assortment of the best, brightest and most entertaining people in the freedom movement today. The Freedom Summit is an annual update on the current status of freedom in our world from several varied perspectives. Rather than seek to present either an optimistic or pessimistic outlook, the Freedom Summit strives to present an honest and straightforward assessment of the current status of our freedom.

Socialism and other coercive centralized planning schemes have failed to improve and indeed worsened, the human condition. As such, the Freedom Summit does not encourage or promote any particular centralized plan to achieve freedom. Rather, the Freedom Summit encourages individuals to promote freedom in non-coercive ways which are best suited to their individual talents.

The Freedom Summit is a forum for the vigorous and peaceful exchange of ideas about how humans ought to interact with each other. People recently introduced to the concepts of freedom as well as lifelong supporters of freedom are encouraged to attend.
