Jared Dietz (living off-grid and traveling in an RV) talks about him and his wife's adventures and experiences on the road, prepping, off-grid living, etc...

We are Jared, Skyla, Bane, and Mako. Our bus is a 2007 Chevy C4500 Kodiak shuttle bus that Jared has spent the past 2 years converting with the help of his dad. The bus has been built to be fully capable of being off-grid for 2 weeks at a time with 1200 watts of solar, 400ah of lithium and a minisplit AC system to keep us cool in that summer heat out west.

Our plan is to travel the country over the next few years to show our dogs the world and figure out where we eventually want to buy land and build a homestead. Follow our Instagram is bako_bus if you'd like to follow our journey around the US.

Here are a few before and after photos. I race motorcycles so the bus is also a toy hauler with a bike under the back bed and our secondary vehicle, Charlie the dual sport is carried on the front of the bus!
