She says:

**QQ**We have no rights under the Patriot Act to even defend them, because the Patriot Act basically supersedes the Constitution,**QQ** she told WRAL-TV.

Is this what they**Q**re peddling now? My understanding is that it**Q**s not possible for the Patriot Act (or any other act) to supersede the Constitution, any more than it**Q**s possible for the child to give birth to the mother. The Constitution is the basic document _upon which all other laws are based._

Am I wrong about this, anyone? Comments welcome!

**QQ**Never in my worst nightmare did I think it would be my own government that I would have to protect my children from.**QQ**

Well, what government did you think you needed to protect your child from?

I don**Q**t think you have to watch the news religiously at 5 AND 10 to know that the Azerbaijan government isn**Q**t plucking children off North Carolina streets.
