A full-fledged Israelie nuclear response you said?  Geez, and all along I thought it was Israel doing all the threatening...but, oh, never mind that, I forgot that the Iranis are anti-Semitic and must be reminded of the holocaust, as a consequence, launching nukes their way and wipping them off would be nothing short of righteous on Israel's part given the fact that they're prone and quite fond of the shooting fish in a barrel technique of self-defense.

All this blow 'em up stuff sounds horrible, but the reality is that as stated in a previous article that the US has at least a dozen bases in surrounding countries. Missle interceptors would not allow Isreal to get hit(DARN!). And the prospect of an all out nuclear war is highly unlikely given the fact that if it did escalate to that level, the second largest oil producer in the world would be un-usable for years and years, not to mention the repurcussions throughout the middle east. If there is any nuclear activity at all I'm sure it would be done with tactical nukes. Target specific and limit collateral damage.

Iran's prez's remark to wipe Israel from the face of the map has also been translated as "wipe Israel from the pages of history,"  I think it probably means the same thing.  The question  is how Iran plans to do it.  The other problem is that Muslims religiously believe that the mysteriously missing caliph, who is expected to return and establish a new world order, can't come back unless all the Jews are killed.  It can't get any clearer than that.  So the second question, more importantly, is:  Will Israel wait for Iran to strike or will it take preemptive action?
