Bashing Goldman Sachs Is Simply a Game for Fools: Michael Lewis

• Bloomberg
From the moment I left Yale and started working for Goldman Sachs, I’ve felt uneasy interacting with those who don’t. Today, the sheer volume of irresponsible media commentary has forced us to reconsider our public-relations strategy. With every uptick in our share price it’s grown clearer that we who are inside Goldman Sachs must open a dialogue with you who are not. Not for our benefit, but for yours. America stands at a crossroads, and Goldman Sachs now owns both of them. In choosing which road to take, ordinary Americans must not be distracted by unproductive resentment toward the toll-takers. To that end we at Goldman Sachs would like to dispel several false and insidious rumors.

It is not envy that I feel...it is outrage!!!  There are so many ex-GS folks inside government that one would be a fool to think that the failure of GS competitors was not arranged.

How will we be better off if government fails, likely, while GS survives due to the boost received from government?  However, if government and all fiat banking institutions failed, maybe the average Joe would have something to look forward to besides indebted servitude.

 Dear Mr. Lewis:

Here's the main problem I see us as having:

1.  You went to Yale no doubt on your parents' dime while I (and by "I" - I really mean your average Joe in working class America), went to my local community college at night and during the summer while on unemployment furlows.

2.  You've been making a multi-million dollar salary ever since, I've been making in a year less than you make in a day.

3.  Yet, I've managed to substain your lavish lifestyle.  Yet, you've managed to steal from me.  Yet, today, I'm unemployed, homeless and without healthcare.  You, Mr. Lewis...well, not so much!

4.  So, Mr. Lewis, how about you put your money where your mouth is and stop taking my money to give yourself million dollar raises to ensure that I continue to live in poverty and misery the rest of my life and give some of it back?  Com'n pretty, please, with sugar on it...All I need is one of your quarterly bonuses to set me up for the rest of my life.

If you can't do that, Mr. Lewis, how about you discontinue your pompous, condescending, bullshit and go fuck yourself or jump off the Brooklyn Bridge - whichever is more painful!
