IMF sees slow growth, tax hikes soon

• The Star
OTTAWA–The International Monetary Fund says most countries will need to raise taxes to pay off the trillions of dollars they spent fighting the global recession. IMF chief economist Olivier Blanchard says in an article to be published today that governments acted properly in ramping up spending to stop the worst slump since World War II. Soon, he says, nearly all countries will have to raise taxes to pay the recovery bill.

It's not so much the "fighting of the global recession" we suckers have to pay for as it is the "fighting of terrorism," "fighting of wars on drugs," "fighting the war on common sense," "fighting the war on the working class," "fighting the Right Wing Whackjobs" - or do y'all think that we "fighting" those things because they bring money rather than making the corporations that are behind these "mighty efforts" richer?

I know you're all stupid but you truly can't be that stupid, can you?
