Arizona property-tax bills up despite drop in home values

• Arizona Republic

Many Valley homeowners can expect to see at least a slight increase in their property taxes this month, despite the significant drop in their house's value.

The Maricopa County treasurer began sending out tax bills last week and will continue through the end of the month.

Much of the increase is due to the state equalization tax, which is back after a three-year hiatus. The tax, which helps fund education in Arizona, adds $58 this year for a homeowner with a property assessed at $176,000, according to an Arizona Republic analysis.

Wipe those big crocodile tears from your eyes, homeowners, you had your chance not long ago to end the property tax but you wouldn't sign the petition.

You believed the politicians b.s. that the sky would fall if you did, so now you get what you deserve.

 Unfortunately, it's not just Arizona...

And wait, cause the best is yet to come.  Thanks to our loving, caring, concerned and over zealous town hall meeting friends, health insurance premiums are also going up 10%.  I hope y'all are proud of the job you've done.  Now, you can have "your" Amerika back...and the skyrocketing prices of everything to go with it!
