Toledo Activists Resist Foreclosure Eviction

WOOD COUNTY, OH (WTOL) - A Wood County man is breaking the law to stay in his home. Keith Sadler says the bank is evicting him from his Stony Ridge home Monday, but he is not giving in without a fight. Sadler has owned the home for 20 years and now he and five others have locked themselves inside. Sadler's troubles began when he hurt his hand and lost his job. Members of the Toledo Foreclosure Defense League believe if the big banks can get a government bailout, people like Sadler should as well. Sadler and the defense league are hoping his foreclosure is called off and a moratorium on all foreclosures is put into place. Supporters have set up a live 24 hour streaming video feed of this ongoing action from inside Keith's home at and a twitter feed has been set up at or you can Text “follow@TFDLOH“ to 40404 in the US or 21212 in Canada.
