Iranian First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi hoped for the formation of an Islamic Union in a move to start and establish a new economic order in the world.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran plans to establish a new economic order in the world in coordination with the other Muslim nations in a bid to pave the way for the progress and advancement of the Islamic countries,"
He stated that Tehran's goal in forming an international union is opposite to the objectives normally pursued by the western countries, and said, "Westerners embark on forming unions to loot the other nations."
