Vatican Bank faces money-laundering probe

The Vatican said Tuesday it is "perplexed and baffled" by the public prosecutor's actions, and the Holy See aims for "complete transparency" in its financial operations.

The Vatican is losing what little credibility that it had.

Last month they were  "perplexed and baffled" that the authorities were investigating a priest child molester in either Belgium or Holland as I recall.  Heaven forbid that the police follow leads and evidence when it leads to the holier than thou crowd.
