Don is a former legislator in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, serving four terms. From 1992 to 1996 he was the Libertarian leader of the House. Gorman won his biggest legislative victory in June 1996, when a law he sponsored ended unconstitutional random drunk-driving roadblocks in New Hampshire. In 2000, he ran for the Libertarian Party’s nomination for President.
Don currently serves on the Deerfield school board (winning re-election in 2005) and zoning board (where he was Chairman for nine years), and is a trustee of Deerfield’s trust funds.
Since 2000, Don has been running a “Campaign School for Winners” across the country, most recently celebrating three wins of students from his latest class in January. Don believes to build the strongest possible foundation for liberty we must elect pro-liberty representatives who can vote to change public policy, at every level.
Don brings years of real-world political experience to the fight for liberty, with proven results. He is now taking a major role mentoring others on how to work for freedom and win elective office in New Hampshire. Don is leading the way through the NH Liberty Alliance, which he helped found, and currently serves as the Director of Political Action.
