The question hangs in the air.
Is this going to go past a tipping point, or is this just posturing and positioning in order to cement the new heir’s position?
It is a difficult position to be in, but the Obama administration is doing what it is supposed to be doing – backing an ally. For that, I will give kudos to the leadership who could have pulled away like it has done on so many positions.
Right now, we have a lot of posturing by the North Koreans, backed up by sinking a South Korean ship and raining artillery shells down on innocent civilians on a South Korean island on the west side of the Korean peninsula.
In response, Obama sent a carrier group out early to a war game in Japan so that they could spend some time letting North Korea and their miniature leader and his heir that we were actually serious about our alliance.
