North Korea holds mass rally in support of new leader

• The RawStory.com
More than 100,000 North Koreans rallied in support of new leader Kim Jong-Un on Tuesday, state media reported, days after he was proclaimed the “great successor” to his father.

The mass rally at Kim Il-Sung Square in the capital Pyongyang was attended by citizens and a number of senior officials, the state KCNA news agency said, in another sign the North is closing ranks behind its new leader.

South Korea’s news agency Yonhap said the North’s state television had released footage on Tuesday of a visit at the weekend by the young leader to a tank division.
